Are you looking for a good book to read that is a quick read? Uglies is a great book for a good but fast read. Scott Westerfeld keeps the action rolling in which there is a world that on a person’s 16th birthday they are made pretty and are allowed to be admitted into the pretty society. This society is a colony of pretty people whose goal in life is just to have fun. What could be bad in this perfect world? Tally, the main character, becomes friends with a girl named Shay who isn’t sure she wants to look like all the pretties in Pretty town. Shay wants to stay her own unique self. After Shay runs away to keep from becoming a pretty, Tally has a hard decision. Don’t become a pretty or betray Shay. This first book in a trilogy will keep you entertained while Tally struggles to find out where her true friendship lies.
