Deb Caletti: The Queen of Everything

by Alex D.

Any teenager can relate to this book, especially being that the main character is a typical high school junior. That is what I found so intriguing about the book, was how many personal connections I found with the main character. Jordan MacKenzie is the vibrant main character in this cute tale.

Jordan has a fractured family, dead-end job, and a new boyfriend. Jordan for once thought her life was normal after moving into her father’s house, until a new woman came into her life. Working at a weight-loss gym Jordan ran into Mrs. Gayle D'Angelo. Yes, Gayle was married but Jordan quickly found out she was dating her father.

I will leave the climax at that, but Jordan handled the situation gracefully. I would recommend this book to teenage girls who enjoy a good laugh, and like relatable new age novels.
